Demographic Dynamics in Tanzania

-Rural areas currently house 75% of Tanzania's population
-Over the next 40 years, Tanzania's urban population is projected to grow rapidly(at 3.5% per year), from 11 million in 2010 tp 46 million in 2050.
-In contrast, the rural population will grow at only about 0.5% per year.
-By 2050, a majority of Tanzanians will live in urban areas.
