Analysis of Food Systems Dynamics in Tanzania

-Tanzania's food consumption patterns will change dramatically over the coming decades.
-Rising urbanisation and growing percapita incomes will double the marketed volumes of foodstuffs every 12 to 14 years and ramp up demand for high-value foods.
-As an increasingly commercial agriculture develops to meet this growing market demand, farm input demand for improved seeds, fertilizer, herbicides, feeds and veterinary services will expand rapidly.
Fueling the necessary productivity increases in this growing and modernizing food system will require a steady flow of trained scientific and technical skills in support of farm production, feed industries, storage, supply chain management and food-processing industries. Public investments and regulatory structures will also be needed to support innovation and agribusiness growth.

Tulikuwepo, tulisikia na sasa tufanyie kazi. Hii ndiyo hali halisi ya mtazamo wa upatikanaji wa chakula nchini Tanzania kwa miaka 10 mpaka hamsini ijayo.
